This introductory course on its own may not meet training requirements for working at heights in all jurisdictions. It should be supplemented by further instruction and hands-on training that is specific to the jurisdiction, job, work site and equipment.
Working at heights is a common activity, but it can pose serious hazards. Failing to manage risks associated with working at heights can result in severe injuries or fatalities. A proactive and preventive approach will help protect workers. Whether working on ladders, scaffolds, or lifts, working safely is critical. Learn to assess and control hazards related to working at heights and implement preventative measures including fall prevention and fall protection techniques.

This course is recommended for employers, managers, and supervisors, including those who manage contractors. Workers and contractors who perform work at heights, as well as health and safety committee members, will also benefit from taking this course.
